Review: PokéPla – Cobalion, Virizion, & Terrakion

No. 23 – Cobalion – Standard Retail – March, 2012 Release – ¥760
No. 24 – Virizion – Standard Retail – April, 2012 Release – ¥760
No. 25 – Terrakion – Standard Retail – May, 2012 Release – ¥760

Right when we’re done taking a look at the Legendary Beasts, we take another look at a legendary trio with the Legendary Musketeers, the main legendary trio from Generation V. These are three individual releases that spanned one a month from March till May, 2012. Each retails for ¥760 on average, and can be picked up at import stores like HLJ or AmiAmi, as well as some second hand sources like Amazon or eBay. Cobalion features a head bobbing motion when his legs are moved. Virizion features a head swaying and leg moving gimmick. Terrakion features a ground point/rear kick like gimmick. All three have incredibly accurate plastic colors, and very little stickers, being limited to eyes and small body detailing (Cobalion’s dots, Virizion’s feathers, Terrakion’s ankles). If you’re a fan of these guys, they’re great kits that actually feature some mild articulation and decent gimmicks. As always, these are cheap kits meant for kids. Experienced model builders will probably find them lacking, but if you’re a model n00b, then these are certainly up your alley. Pretty nice releases. Next up, Keldeo in July (Black & White Kyurems release in August)!
