Quick little haul for today. Pretty much out of money for the next few days until my next check arrives, but this little baby arrived today! Been on a bit of a TFCC exclusive kick since I got Cheetor last year. I really like this mold, and it’s a great choice for the RunaBros. Looking forward to receiving his white twin sometime in April. For now, he’s gonna chill on my desk with my Prime figures. Really great job on him TFCC. I like it.

After league on Saturday we decided to hit up Toys R Us, since it’s right across from the Mall. They had Bot Shots. As you may or may not know, Bot Shots are going to be my new form of crack. Mostly because they are small, adorable, and you can play a game with them. This makes me love them in ways unknown. Currently only the single pack Wave 01 bots are out, but I’ll be getting them all, because zomg crack. Sadly TRU prices them at $4.99, so I decided to put them back, and I got the Retrofire Samurai Megazord instead. My Saturday night was filled with guilt and sadness from putting back Bot Shots, so I went back and got them on Sunday. They’re my new little buddies. Plus the girlfriend thinks they’re cute. She’s right.

First, I want to apologize for the lack of reviews. I only have one video recorded, and just managed to record SHF Fourze. Unfortunately, that night I began a bout with food poisoning. It’s Wednesday, and I’m just now getting back into the swing of things. It shouldn’t be too much longer I promise. My day started with a package of Nintendo containing the Handheld Info Cards, which are really cool. I was finally feeling well enough to go shopping today, so I bought a bunch of stuff to make myself feel better! I started the day buying the Unova Pokedex which was a mistake because it pretty much sucks. I MAY try and take it back. Not sure at this point. A trip to Target got me started into the Prime Cyberverse toys with Bumblebee. Also nabbed DotM Soundwave since it’s the only version of Soundwave I’ll own apparently. Trip to a different target netted me Cyberverse Vehicon, along with “The Struggle for Catan” card game. Lastly a trip to TRU gave me Cyberverse Cliffjumper, and the Samurai Battle Ready Pack featuring 5 Rangers and a Mooger in the 2″ stylized style. Really like the Cyberverse figures. Might get them all. FML.

So on a day I expected to get nothing, I ended up getting three packages as well as some goodies from Meijer. From there I nabbed the Samurai MegaBloks Gold and Red Hero Packs. Only thing I still need MegaBloks wise is the little vehicle things. May or may not get those. Anyway, my replacement Zelda poster from Nintendo arrived. Props to them for correcting an error that not too many people spotted in the first place. Next up was my order from the Funimation Store. The other day they had the entirety of Excel Saga for $15. Huge fan of this wacky-ass show, so I couldn’t pass it up (I had sold my previous copies of the individual volumes). Naturally if I spent more money I got free shipping! Found a pre-order for .hack//Quantum and I couldn’t pass that up either. Lastly, my Oki box arrived earlier than expected!
First thing that happened when I opened the box was watch a Pokémon Battrio piece fly at me. The fact that Oki remembered I loved Pokémon was surprising to me. The Pokémon? Victini, my favorite Legendary and one of my favorite Unova Pokémon. The secondary Pokémon on the piece? Golurk, another of my favorites. Props to Oki for giving me a piece with my two favorite Unova Pokémon on it, even if it was unintentional. As some of you may know from before, I had a lot of problems with this order. I had bid on a bunch of Hibiki stuff with the thought that shipping to him was going to be combined and cheap. The seller, after we had won the items, changed things around, and said he couldn’t do combined shipping, so I was tagged with a 600 Yen shipping fee to Oki for EACH ITEM. That’s 4200 Yen in shipping to Oki alone. Thankfully I had money to spare so it wasn’t a huge deal, but it did throw me for a loop for sure. To make up for it, I find a surprise in my box. I received a Tamashii Nations 2011 bag, and inside was a Show Program, as well as the Clear Purple Deformeister Sky High that was given to attendees of the show. He knew it was something I was interested in. He didn’t HAVE to go out of his way to try and fix the problem, since it wasn’t his fault, but just the fact that I got such great bonuses to make up for the problems is astounding. Thank you Oki, it’s awesome.

First of all, I would like to thank my bro ZeronXepher for getting me Eric Stuart’s autograph. Pokemon one was of my first major fandoms, and Brock was always my favorite character, mostly because I’m a sucker for secondary characters. Regardless, Eric Stuart became synonymous with Brock (and James for that matter) and when TPC refused to bring in the old actors, I was really sad to learn that Eric wouldn’t be voicing my favorite characters anymore. I’ve never had an opportunity to meet him (or any major Pokemon VA for that matter) so getting this is really cool to me. Thanks Zeron, you’re a great pal. (I will have another “great pal” celebratory autograph post in a few weeks. <3 you Jedimanz.)
Well last night I was browsing around and realized I could look up DCPI numbers on Target. I realized that the Deluxe and Voyager (that’s what it says on the package, so I’m still gonna use it) Prime figures were in stock. Went down there today to be greeted by a bunch of old DotM stuff still on the shelf (where’s my last wave damn it? Gonna have to go to Japan for those too?). I typed the DCPI numbers in to double check, and they were in the back. The cool guy working in the toy department went back there and brought out a case of each for me, so I managed to walk away with Deluxe Bumblebee, Wheeljack, and Soundwave, along with Voyager Megatron. I left Cliffjumper and Optimus behind since I have FE Cliffjumper and Prime on the way from Ryokuya, and I like the FE figures more, so I’m skipping the RID versions, even if RID Cliff has grown on me a bit. Haven’t had a chance to open them yet, but they all look really cool, even with Bumblebee’s derp neck.
Lastly, BaltanII tweeted last Saturday about a $3.31 Dragvisor on Amazon. It’s the Dragon Knight version of course, but for $3.31, I couldn’t pass it up. I mostly got it because it looks pretty neat next to my LRS Ryuki Belt, however the cards and sounds are neat as well. Even for Ryuki fans, $3.31 is a price that simply can’t be beat. The toy isn’t ace, but it’s well worth that price. Along with it I got a $3.71 copy of .Hack//Roots Vol. 3. I stopped buying the series after Vol. 2 because of budget at the time, but I couldn’t let that deal go either. Got both items shipped for $7.02. Pretty awesome.
V-Log: The Dark Knight Switches On!
Named only because Kiba and Fourze shipped in the same box. Speaking of Kiba, he’s very sexy. Fourze is really cool too. Haven’t opened anything else yet sadly, busy with school related things today. Anyway, today arrived the AmiAmi box for January. I don’t have anything else on the way besides an upcoming Oki box that costs more than it needed to because of shitty Yahoo sellers, but oh well.
Those and Gokai Pink will ship out soon. Everything in this box sans the crappy turntable and the stands will be reviewed, besides maybe the Ranger Key Sets, so stay tuned! If you really wanna see the Ranger Key Sets, let me know.
As I said in the video, the retail releases and American toy lines take priority over the exclusives for me. I know I’m known for my Figuart reviews, but the retail stuff means more to me than the exclusives, as I feel they’re more helpful for people than reviews of exclusives that you can only get on the second hand market now. I will get to Accel Booster, G Den-O, the Greeeds, the Shinken Girls, and all the others as soon as I can. February is a lax month for Tamashii Brand related toys, so even with GoBusters coming out, I should be able to start hitting those old exclusives up by March, just be patient.
As far as the “multiple toys in one video” thing I addressed, yeah, it was only one person making the comment, but I just wanted to state my reasoning behind doing it. It’s easier on my workflow to only have 1 video to edit as opposed to three. I can upload faster with only having to make a post for one video, upload one video, and do all the work for one video. Also, doing the PokePla reviews in one video lets me show off and compare all of the “set” in one go, so people can judge the sets nicely. Mentally it just works for me. To make everyone happy I’ll be timestamping the video in both the description and annotations so people can jump to whatever kit they want to see. And nothing of value was lost. Just as a note, I’ll be doing the S.H.Figuarts Fourze review as a set too, consisting of S.H.Figuarts Fourze, the Stand & Effect Set, and the Module Set 01.

A V-Log is going up really soon, but I don’t have time to put it up right now since I have to go to class, so I thought I’d just go ahead and toss this up here right now in the mean time. Went out shopping yesterday and decided to finally bite and get the Squinkies. Might do a written review on those at some point. They don’t really warrant a video honestly. Also picked up two (all I could find) Megabloks Power Rangers Samurai Micro Figure boosters. Managed to get Human Deker and Mega Mode Pink. Hope to get the full set soon. Like I said before, I do plan on reviewing the Samurai Megabloks in some fashion, possibly with a written review. I haven’t fully decided to do my busy schedule. Bull Megazord review and V-Log coming up next, so stay tuned!
