Review: S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider Ryuki Survive
S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider Ryuki Survive
Retail Release – December, 2012 – ¥3,500
After Knight Survive is none other than Ryuki Survive, released in December, 2012 as a retail release for ¥3,500. Where as Knight Survive came with elaborate cape pieces, Ryuki isn’t as decorative. Ryuki Survive comes packed with ELEVEN additional hands, two MORE hands for the original Ryuki (to hold the Dragvisor Zwei, and one to pose), nine Advent Cards, the Dragvisor Zwei, a belt clip for the visor, the extended blade for the Dragvisor Zwei, and a Ryuki Survive Tamashii Stage. Ryuki Survive is nothing short of magnificent. Just like Knight, Ryuki is decked out in beautiful red paint that has a just as beautiful shine to it. The golds and silvers used as accents look just as magnificent, and the matte look to the accents compliment the gloss of the red well. Ryuki’s Survive mode isn’t the greatest looking thing in the world in my opinion, but it’s still a fabulous figure with very little flaws. Poseability is top notch, and nothing hinders his movement. Even his extravagant shoulder pads move on several small joints to make sure they don’t get in the way. While I like Knight Survive a lot more (I just love Knight Survive’s design more), Ryuki Survive is an equally as beautiful figure that could easily contend for “Best Figuart of 2012.” If you’re a fan of Ryuki, don’t let this one slip by and pick him up while you can. Great figure.
