Review: Pokémon – Tomy Clip ‘N’ Carry Poké Ball Series 1

Pokémon – Tomy Clip ‘N’ Carry Poké Ball Series 1
$8.99 at Most Major Retailers (Purchased from Target)

Way back when Hasbro was releasing the Monster Collection during RBYGSC, a lot of the releases included a plastic Poké Ball that could store the Pokémon you got in the pack. Tomy is ready to do a variation of this with their Clip ‘N’ Carry Poké Ball assortment. Each set includes one Monster Collection (Basic Figure) and a different Poké Ball. Oddly enough the first assortment doesn’t actually have a Poké Ball in it. Each one retails for $8.99 for one basic figure and the Poké Ball. The first series includes Cobalion with Ultra Ball, Virizion with Luxury Ball, Terrakion with Dusk Ball, Keldeo with Master Ball, Acheops with Great Ball, and Carracosta with Dive Ball. Unfortunately Carracosta is no where to be found, and isn’t released just yet. It’s also worth noting that Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion can also be found in the 4-Figure Gift Packs without their Poké Balls, if you’d rather go that route with picking up the figures. The Poké Balls are all the same size, and easily pop open to store 3-4 figures comfortably inside. Each one has a rectangular clip attached to it for putting the Poké Ball on your belt. The figures as always are really well done despite their small size, and the inclusion of some awesome Pokémon like Keldeo and Acheops make these really worth the pick up for me. The price might be a little steep, the Poké Ball holder actually makes it worth it to me.
