Review: S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider Fourze Meteor Fusion States
S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider Fourze Meteor Fusion States
Tamashii Web Exclusive – February, 2013 – ¥4,200
Fusion On! In his summer movie, Fourze received yet another new form in the form of Meteor Fusion States. This is powered by the Fusion Switch, a switch created when everyone’s hope for Gentaro was manifested through the 40 Astro Switches. When combined with the Meteor Switch in the circle slot, Meteor Fusion States is created. The S.H.Figuarts release of this guy was released February, 2012 for ¥4,200 before fees. Meteor Fusion States is basically Meteor Storm’s body with Cosmic State’s arm brace and leg braces, along with the head. The head now has a splatter of stars on it, and the body retains Meteor’s star chart-esque design. While I actually like how well they pulled off the purple gradient effects on the figure, it unfortunately suffers from some quality issues. My figure has very loose hips and ab crunch which basically makes him a bit of a floppy mess. Accessory wise, he comes with 13 additional hands, as well as a Meteor Galaxy with the Meteor Switch inserted. Unfortunately, there is no Fourze Driver piece with the Meteor Switch removed, so unless you have a piece from another set, the figure won’t be 100% accurate. In the movie he wielded the Barizun Sword, so it’s a shame the figure doesn’t include it. It’s CycloneAccelXtreme all over again. With some sloppy QC and a huge lack of accessories, I can only recommend this figure to the hardcore fan of the States. If you’re a casual fan, it’s a pretty easy pass, especially with Meteor Nadeshiko Fusion States right around the corner. MNFS comes with two Rocket Modules, two Board Modules, and most likely a small chunk of hands, proving to be a bit more solid of a release than this one, given the fact they are the same price. It’s a shame the QC issues have to screw it up.
