Stockpile Sunday Review: S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider OOO TakaJaBa
S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider OOO TakaJaBa
Hobby Japan Exclusive – April, 2012 – ¥4,000
TakaJaBa is one of those combos of OOO that just feels important, but ultimately isn’t. Regardless of importance, it was released in April, 2012 as a Hobby Japan Exclusive. In August, 2011, Hobby Japan released “S.H.Figuarts Collection Book feat. Kamen Rider & Super Sentai”. When you purchased this book, and sent in the included ticket, you could preorder the TakaJaBa S.H.Figuart release for ¥4,000. TakaJaBa isn’t really anything new. Take the Taka head, Kujaku body, and Batta legs and you have TakaJaBa. We’ve seen all these pieces already, just in a new combination. Included with TakaJaBa is six additional hands, the TaJa Spinner, the Taka wings (as seen in the TaJaDol Effect Parts Set), and an exclusive Tamashii Stage featuring all the O-Medal designs with “Count the Medals!” written on it. TakaJaBa has alright Batta legs, so I can’t fault him too bad. Overall I like the way he ends up looking, since the Taka head’s green eyes compliment the Batta legs wonderfully. The best part of the figure is the Taka wings. I loved these wings in the Effect Parts Set, and I love them here. The Tamashii Stage included looks really awesome too, so that’s a bonus as well. If you really wanted the Taka wings, this is a great way of getting it, as not only do you get the part and a stage, you get a whole new figure as well! A great pick up if you want the wings or really like the combo. If you can do without the wings, or already have them from the Effect Parts Set, then it’s probably a pretty easy pass.
