Stockpile Sunday Review: S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider Den-O Super Climax Form
S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider Den-O Super Climax Form
Tamashii Nations 2012 Exclusive – October, 2012 – ¥3,500
Tamashii Web Exclusive – March, 2013 – ¥3,500
To boldly go where no climax has gone before…by adding a swan! Sieg wanted to get into the party, and hence Super Climax Form was created. It was released originally through the Tamashii Nations 2012 event in October, 2012, but later re-released via Tamashii Web in March, 2013, both for ¥3,500. Now this figure at the core is the same exact toy that was previously available at retail. However, the head is re-sculpted to include Sieg’s logo, as well as the added port on his back for his wing pack. As an added bonus you also get a blue and gold Tamashii Stage to represent the form’s added Sieg-ness. Since it is the same figure, you can still move all the DenKamen pieces around to make a Punch and Kick form. Unfortunately the wings sit so flush to his back, that the large DenKamen shoulder pads don’t have enough room and the wings end up just getting in the way. In a static pose, Super Climax looks great, but the wings just provide too much of a hindrance to get some really awesome poses going. If you can find both for the same price, get this one. The wings don’t HAVE to be on, so you essentially get everything the original figure was, plus the stage and the wing option. However, if you have the original, there’s no major push to get this one unless you’re a hardcore Den-O fan. While not an awful figure, it’s just not a must have either given the original release.
