Review: S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider X
S.H.Figuarts – Kamen Rider X
Retail Release – May, 2013 – ¥3,200
We’re slowly but surely making our way through the Showa Era Riders. Our next release is Kamen Rider X, which was released in May 2013 for ¥3,200. Kamen Rider X continues to use the Showa mold, which certainly isn’t a problem, as it’s one of the most solid molds the S.H.Figuarts line has to offer. X has quite a bit of frontal chest armor, and that doesn’t hinder the figure at all. All articulation is still in tact, and the figure itself looks great. X comes packed with his Ridol, the main weapon attached to his belt. Obviously this includes all four forms of the Ridol: Ridol Whip (a fencing sword), Ridol Rope (a long rope version of the Ridol), Ridol Stick, the go to rod form of the Ridol, and the Ridol Longpole, a longer version of the Ridol Stick. Also included are two mufflers, one relaxed on the back, and one that drapes over the front. Finally included are a whopping 14 additional hands. Yep, 14. Overall, X is a great figure that makes an excellent edition to the Showa line up. If you’re a casual collector, he’s only worth the cash if you are a huge fan of X, but even then, it’s a great pick up no matter what level of fan you are.
