Unboxing: Pokémon TCG – XY Elite Trainer Box
Pokémon TCG – XY Elite Trainer Box
$39.99 Each at Target
Elite Trainer Boxes are impressive kits that release every other set for the Pokémon TCG, and are very similar to the “Fat Packs” found in Magic the Gathering. For $39.99, you receive a high quality box, eight booster packs, an acrylic poison and burn marker, one tournament legal flip die, six damage counter dice, four box dividers, a pack of 65 card sleeves, a set of 65 energy cards, and a player’s guide highlighting the set. Each box is unique in contents, with the Xerneas Box containing blue and silver colored items and sleeves, while the Yveltal Box contains red and gold colored items and sleeves. Outside of the designs of the products, the actual amount of contents is the same. Considering eight packs cost about $33.50 or so retail, he amount of content you’re getting for $39.99 is incredible. For both collectors, competitive players, and new players alike, there’s something to be had in these boxes. Between the sleeves, dice, and packs, not to mention everything else, you get a lot of bang for your buck. If your packs contain some valuable EX cards? The price just became even better. While it may seem pricy at first, it’s definitely worth it, and I really wish TCPi would release one of these for every set. At least we get two this time around, really cool.
