Wave 3 of the Super Megaforce Action Heroes brings us our first group of Legendary Rangers to help celebrate the anniversary of Power Rangers! Included with this assortment are Mighty Morphin Red, Mighty Morphin Green, Dino Thunder Red, S.P.D. Red, Mystic Force Red, Samurai Red, Megaforce Red, and Megaforce Robo Knight. All figures use the same base mold of the Super Megaforce Rangers, with molding changes needed when the suits differ. With that in mind, articulation is the same on every figure, sans things like MM Green or Robo Knight where armor pieces will hinder articulation. Each Ranger includes an accessory or two. MM Red includes a Blade Blaster (which plugs into the wrong side) and the Power Sword, MM Green includes the Dragon Dagger, DT Red includes the Tyranno Staff and Thundermax Blaster, S.P.D. Red includes the Delta Blasters, Mystic Force Red includes the Mystic Staff in Sword Mode and the Mystic Morpher in Wand Mode, Samurai Red includes the Samuraizer in Brush mode and the Spin Sword, Megaforce Red includes the Mega Blaster with Dragon Zord attached and the Dragon Sword, Robo Knight includes the Robo Blaster in both modes. While the Hayden’s Samuraizer never HAD a brush mode. it’s kind of a neat thing to have for those of you who hunt down the Lauren figure Bandai UK released. She can finally have a Morpher! Overall, I have to say I’m impressed with the Samurai Red, Megaforce Red, and Robo Knight figures. Having figures that will scale okay with older releases for these guys is great. As for the older characters, if you can’t afford the S.H.Figuarts, and don’t have ANY older release of these figures, they aren’t bad. I honestly don’t really have anything negative to say about them. Regardless of if you own the past figures or not, at least collecting the Red Rangers is a nice way to make a neat “Legendary Red Ranger” display, as all Red Rangers are currently planned on being released. While I think the $11.99 Amazon.com is asking is a little much, they’re a great pick up that I definitely recommend, even if Nick lost his cape.
