Review: DX Signal Bike Set (Kamen Rider Drive)
DX Signal Bike Set
January, 2015 – ¥1,300
Just like Chaser’s Viral Core Set, Mach gets his own gimmick set in the form of the DX Signal Bike Set. This set, released in January, 2015 for ¥1,300 brings us two new Signal Bikes: Tomarle and Kaksarn, meaning Stop and Split respectively. Tomarle is a yellow bike cast in clear yellow, sparkly plastic with the “Stop” signal on the wheel. This Signal Bike gives Mach the ability to generate a large force field. When the enemy touches the stop sign, they freeze in place. In the Drive Driver, this activates a Tire Koukan into Next 03. Kaksarn is a blue bike cat in clear blue, sparkly plastic, complete with gatling guns and missile launchers and all that fun stuff. It gives Mach the ability to fire split shots out of the Zenrin Shooter. In the Drive Driver, this activates a Tire Koukan into Next 02. Both bikes can also be used in the Break Gunner to hear the “Next System” phrase.
Overall, if you’re a fan of Mach, or have the Mach Driver, there’s no reason to skip this set. The Signal Bikes are sparkly and look pretty great. Not to mention you get two new sound sets in the Mach Drive, and to an extent, the Drive Driver as well. While not as fun as Shift Cars as a whole, they make nice display pieces and are definitely affordable.
