Gaming has always been a core element of the Nerd Block Classic, but the company has hence decided to split the world of gamin into a new product: Arcade Block. For the same $19.99 plus shipping as Nerd Block Classic, you get a t-shirt and a boxful of goodies all related to your favorite gaming franchises. What you get inside is random every month, so you never know what franchises or items the Block Crew will touch upon next. For those of you not quite into gaming, you can check out Nerd Block Classic, Horror Block, Sci-Fi Block, Comic Block, or the Nerd Block Jr. (kid franchises) varieties as well. There’s a Block for everyone! Click on the link below to subscribe.

Contents of November 2015’s block, as well as my unboxing video are after the jump.

• Yarn Yoshi T-Shirt
• “The Master Cork: A Drink to the Past” rubber cork
• Resident Evil Replica Key (1 of 4)
• Titans Nathan Drake Vinyl Figure
• Halo 5 Mini Calendar
• Angry Birds K’Nex Blind Bag (Space Bubbles)

Due to financial concern, I was about ready to cancel Arcade Block, but after October’s Block promised goods from Uncharted, Halo 5, and Zelda, I was basically at their mercy. Needless to say, I’m really glad I stuck around. The t-shirt is a hit with everyone that’s seen it so far, especially for the holiday season. The Zelda item was a rubber cork. Not really practical for our house, but as a Zelda fan, it’s an awesome little collectible that I think is really clever. The Halo item was a small calendar featuring art from Halo 5. I’m a huge Halo fan that’s still playing 5 constantly. It’ll definitely get hung up. The Uncharted item is a larger Titans vinyl figure of Nathan Drake that’s a really awesome collectible. Again, as a fan of that franchise, it’ll go great on my gaming shelf. The other items are a Resident Evil key replica, which is great quality if you’re a fan of that franchise. Lastly is an Angry Birds K’Nex blind bag. Not all that thrilling, but I’m the dork that still likes Angry Birds. This Block is fantastic, to me at least. The Angry Birds thing is the only thing that isn’t really neat, and all of these things will find their way on my gaming shelves in some fashion. After the absolutely abysmal October block, this one was a winner.

As always, these aren’t for everyone, but if you’re willing to dish out about $30 a month for a surprise box filled with a bunch of neat (and possibly exclusive!) items, then this is a great thing to do. If you’re a horror fan, comic fan or have children you want to share the experience with, be sure to check out the Horror Block, Nerd Block Classic, and Nerd Block Jr. subscriptions as well. These things are really fun to me, and I look forward to next month’s Block.

Thanks Arcade Block!
